Update (not audio) 2025.05.15

Hey everyone, thanks for your continued support and interest.

A quick update on a few things. I’d gotten the hiphopautist site up and a few of you commented on it. Largely the comments broke down into two categories:

  1. Why aren’t you posting a much here on NDEnd.com
  2. Thanks, now I know how/when to connect

I appreciate everyone who’s made a trek out to Burlington, Racine, Milwaukee, Arlington Heights, Madison, Janesville, and Kenosha to come see me and support me with my work (poetry, song writing, etc).

I’m currently re-working the website for hiphopautist and it’ll be back up soon (unless squirrels invade).

For those that feel that I’ve abandoned either you as an individual, or you as a group (whether the specific group for NDEnders or any of the tributary groups from which you hail), please understand that I only have so much time in a day and it’s difficult to focus and get things done sometimes — many times actually. It’s been a month since I posted here but there have been other times when I was overwhelmed and couldn’t manage to post here or join group chats or live streams. This time the difference is that you can see that I’m doing other things when before you couldn’t. I work on what I can when I can and sometimes it’s easier to force myself out the door because of the sense of obligation I have to show up for people IRL when there’s structured (yay Autistic drive for consistency!) and that makes it easier, for instance, to commit to being some place every third Thursday of the month or every Tuesday.

I said before that I will do as much as I can manage and no more. People encouraged me to get out there and share my poetry, so I did. I waited until I was ready (website, tshirt designs, etc) and planned a rollout of the ToxicTonya project. I’m following my plan (admittedly making adjustments here and there) and that’s the priority for the spoons I can pre-allocate. Many of you who identify as NDEnders only know about me and this site because of the Never Safe With You poem. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be here but while I am I want to try to do as much advocacy, for neurodivergence and mental health, as possible. I hope that doesn’t rub you the wrong way.

Thank you for the support

Thank you for the feedback. I especially value those of you who express disappointment or disagreement. It takes courage to speak up I don’t take that for granted. While I may disagree your view, the premise on which it’s based, the approach in expressing it, I value your perspective and your willingness to share it.
